40th Birthday Card

Well good afternoon to you all and another week has just flown past, far tooo quick and always seems there`s just not enough hours in the day.
Mack the dog is now back to his normal scatty self and i`ve also started, again! on the new allotment, so i`ve been pretty busy with clearing the weeds, digging over and sowing some seeds etc.
This card was for my hubbys 40th, didn`t quite turn out how I wanted it to look, but hubby had a chuckle and was pleased with it. The image is from bugaboo stamps and I coloured it in using my promarkers and used k&Co papers that were at the bottom of my stash box.
Catch you all later, Val xxx

Boys birthday card

Good morning everyone and hope you are enjoying the sun, although a bit chilly this morning on the school run. Well i`ve managed to do my first card since afew weeks ago and loved doing this for a little boys` 8th birthday. He`s a big WestHam fan, so I coloured in the little fellas outfit in their colours, although it looks pink in the picture, it`s not. I scouted around for a digi image and come across the footballer from bugaboo stamps, which was just what I wanted.

This card i`m putting forward for the lexis creations challenge of 3 papers, 2 embellishments and 1 image.

Papers: BG and K&Co

Digi image: Bugaboo stamps and coloured using promarkers

Embellishments: Football buttons from my stash

Sentiment: Whimsy sentiments

Sorry, I haven`t been posting lately

Good afternoon all!
So sorry I haven`t been around for so long and posted, as things have got a bit hectic lately and with the easter break as well. With a few illnesses (not serious, thank goodness) going around and the poor dog having to have a new knee cap, bless him! (try keeping an 18 month old collie quite is a task)I`m hoping (fingers crossed) I will be back at blogging.
I haven`t made any new cards lately, so will be back later in the next day or two with the start of some new makes.

I hope you all had a great Easter and are keeping well, with the sun finally showing it`s face.
Ta ta for now Val xxx

Die Cut Dreams Challenge Card

Good morning all and hope your keeping warm on this chilly morning. Today I want to show you the card i`m putting forward for the die cut dreams challenge, which is #37 Karens sketch. I used my sugar nellie stamp `April Showers` and coloured her in with my promarkers. Then used different paper scraps and used paper flowers, gems and sentiment `your special day` from my stash. A bit of stitching and punched boarder going down the left, to finish off.
Have a great day, hugs Val xxx

sketch and stash challenge

Well sorry for yet another post today, but thought i`d show you the card i`ve done for the sketch and stash challenge.
and another birthday card I received just this morning. The top card is the sketch and stash card i`m putting forward, using their sketch and using some of the stash papers from daisy bucket, I had left over from the last scrapbook page I posted. The butterflies are peel-offs layed ontop of coloured paper and cut out and I made a mistake with toooo much inking around the blue layered paper, so I added another paper flower using the same daisy bucket papers, a bit of faux stitching to finish off. This card will go into my card box for the cubs, that i`m gradually filling up for them.
My second card is from Jane (bunbun 2) that arrived this morning, what a beautiful card to go with the others.

Birthday cards and scrapbookpage

Good morning everyone and hope you are keeping warm on this cold morning.
Just wanted to show the beautiful cards I received from two of the ladies over at the M.S.E and craftyplace site. The first is a beautifully sewn flower card from Karen (a.k.a Flourgirl ) with a RAK pack of beautiful red paper flowers. The second card was made by Marg, I was so thrilled with these lovely keepsakes and will be going onto my wall of handmade cards that other people have sent me, when they come off the mantelpiece next week.
The Scrapbook page is for my 2008 album, that I have also started. The layout was made using the great layout set up by creative scrappers this week. The papers used were by daisy bucket and the letter and wording `ve had for ages, so i`m not sure where these are from.
Catch you later, hugs Val xxx

Mother`s Day Card

Good Morning everyone and what a bright one this morning. Still a little chilly, but the sun has made an apperance.
Today is my second Mother`s Day card for one of the other mums, but haven`t put this through any challenges yet, as I haven`t got around to sorting which one yet. The papers are from my slowly decreasing pile of big off-cuts, so not quite sure where these are from.
Tomorrow is my birthday, yeah!, so I am planning on having a very relaxing day, while the kids are at school. Mr Postie has already delivered some cards for me from some of my crafting buddies over at the M.S.E site and crafty place.
So I will post these here on wednesday.
Have a great day, catch you all later, hugs Val xxx

CubScout scrappage

Good afternoon to you all! Well i`ve been a bit busy this morning with running around and finishing of my scrap-page for my 2010 album. After spending the morning up the allotment yesterday, I was shattered to say the least, but pleased with what I acheived.

Today is not a card but my page of my youngest being invested into the cubs (very proud mummy!), apologise but I had to wipe out the other faces, but hope you understand. I used some scout papers that I got from America along time ago and it`s a shame that the print doesn`t show up in the photo, as it`s a faint fleur print. I wanted to keep this very simple so the photo is centre of attention. Anyway that`s me for the weekend, have a great one everyone and catch you on Monday. hugs Val xxx

Mother`s Day card

Good morning all and what a bright and chilly morning it is. I`ll be kept busy from now on with the allotment as well as my cardmaking and scrapbooking and i` hoping to get up to the allotment this morning to check it out. If I remember to take my camera, i`ll take some pics of the forest of weeds that`ll be up there.
Anyway onto todays card, which is for Mother`s Day for one of the 2 mums. This card i`m putting forward for M.S.E challenge - Mother`s Day, the secret crafter saturday challenge -Mother`s Day, lexis creations - anything goes.
The papers are BG nook & pantry, the image is sugar nellie called `demure` the ribbon, letter stickers, flowers and chain are from my stash and the pearl pin and heart charm are RAK`s from my card swap partner sarah, thanks Sarah.
I must go now as so much to do and so little time!

Winter wonderland card

Good morning everyone, well at least it`s not raining today, yet! Well, back in the swing of things, boys and hubby back to school and work ( well yesterday) and spent yesterday spending the day trying to sort and arrange everything back to normality, after the half term break.
I made my card for the winter wonderland christmas blog challenge, where there is a great sketch for you to follow. I used a great digi stamp from karens doodles, printed this out twice, coloured with my promarkers and layered the singing birds on top of each other. The papers are DCWV christmas wishes and embellishments and ribbon from my stash.
YES! another crimbo card done!

Wags and Whiskers Birthday Card

Afternoon all, sorry another post for today, but thought i`d show off a card that I have just finished for a friend of my son, whose birthday is this coming sunday.
This was a very quick card for me, as I usually spend so much time deciding on the image and trying to get the papers to match. The image is my new wags and whiskers stamp called Super Ryan, the sentiment is from a postmark set from Whimsy stamps, the papers are BG Lime Rickey and s.e.i paisley and petals and the buttons and metal star embellishment are from my stash.
I`ve got my scrappage to finish tonight ( I hope) and then onto a challenge card or two.
Catch you all later, hugs Val xxx

Good morning everyone and hope you had a good weekend. I had such a great long weekend break with hubby and the kids, it was wonderful spending time. Although we didn`t go away it was fun just spending time together. I didn`t get around to doing any crafting, but thought i`d share the cards I swapped with my february swap partner Sarah over at the crafty place.
The top one with tilda, is the one that Sarah sent me, isn`t it gorgeous. It`s now pride of place on my shelf. The duck card is the card I sent Sarah, I hope you like it Sarah.
Anyway i`m off to see what challenges lay ahead, if I can manage to catch up with with all the blogs.
Hugs Val xxx

No card for today.

Good morning everyone, no card to show today, as I was working on my card swap and can`t post this until I know my swap partner, Sarah, has received it. I won`t be posting anything until after the weekend as hubby is off for a very long weekend, but I will be lurking around, trying to keep up and reading the other blogs. Take care and have a great weekend. Hugs Val xxx

3 Challenges in one card.

Good morning everyone and hope you`re keeping warm and dry. Wet and windy here and the dog needed to go to the vets early this morning for his yearly jab. So we walked down the town inbetween showers and had a nice stroll back along the beach. He was such a good lad, laid down while we waited and sat still for the vet ( very proud). The boys also had a sleep over at nanny and grandads last night and just received a call to ask if they could sleep over tonight aswell. Well I couldn`t let this oppotunity pass me by, so I said yes. But no rest for the wicked, I still have to go shopping at some point and stock up, before the lads come back and raid the cupboards again!.
Anyway i`m entering this card into 3 challenges
1.winter wonderland christmas blog challenge-use colours satsuma, gold and chocolate.
2.sketch and stash challenge - use the sketch they`ve provided
3.lexis creations - Use spots or stripes.
The papers are some old K & Co papers that i`ve had for ages that came in a big box of 200. The image and sentiment stamp, i`m not sure where these are from as the makers name isn`t on the stamp now. The flowers I diecut and used brads for the middle.
The colours make for an unusual colour combo for christmas, makes me think of that famous chocolate orange ball, but they seem to work and it`s one less card to make for christmas.

sugar bowl challenge card

Good morning everyone and hope you are all well.
Today I want to show you a card that I created for the sugar bowl blog
card challenge, using their sketch. The other conditions are to use a sugar nellie stamp and use 3 flowers, 2 brads and 1 button somewhere on the card.
So I used my new april showers nellie stamp and coloured using my promarkers, BG sugar rush papers and die cut 4 flowers(layered 2 together to create 3 flowers), used 2 flower/star brads for the centre of 2 of the flowers and 1 button for the centre of the other flower. I`ve also punched a boarder to go down the side of the image.
Catch you all later, hugs Val xxx

Charisma Male challenge

Good afternoon all! Hope you`re all keeping warm on this very chilly day.
Today I thought i`d share a card i`m going to put forward for the charismacardz. challenge, MALE. I know some people have a challenge with male cards, but I really don`t have much of a choice when it comes to male cards, as I have a houseful of the species. Anyway, I used a new stamp I received from lili of the valley and used that. Coloured with my promarkers and used some masculine papers, that i`m still trying to use up, so not too sure where these are from. The buttons and fibres are from my stash. I`ve also inked around the edges of the mats and stitched around the edge (although this isn`t really clear)
I`m now off to try and catch up with you lot and see what you`ve been up to.

`Sit` doggy scrapbook page.

Well, what a morning we`ve had, SNOW, SNOW and yes more SNOW. The boys are even fed up with it now and with no school today and maybe tomorrow, looks like a day for playing games, t.v and homework (what a cruel mother I am, he he!)
So of course i`m in my crafting mood, apart from the occasional "mum what can I have to eat" (which feels like every half hour, growing lads, ehh!), but I was able to finish off another page for my scrapbook.
I came across a scrapping blog called creative scrappers with some great layouts to use. Some of the spreads that others have done are absolutley wonderful, pure magic, so have decided to join in for this weeks sketch.
Some of the papers are K & Co, but others i`m not too sure, I also used my cricut to cut the bracket, the title and the snowflake/flower. The ribbon is from my stash and have stitched around some of the matting.
My `subject` is my very bouncy, very energetic 16 month old bow wow called mack, isn`t he just a cutie, I think so anyway, but i`m biased. I was very fortunate, to take this pic, as you can imagine a lively collie sitting still for a second, it`s just priceless.
Anyway enough for now. Hugs Val xxx

`SNOW MUCH FUN` SCRAPBOOK PAGE

Well i`ve finally done it! I`ve actually managed to do my first page for this years album. Pleased with the end result, as I haven`t done any scrapbooking for such a loooong time. I was a bit nervous I suppose, but once I started getting into it, I was well away. I used my bo bunny ` jack frost` papers, that i`ve had for ages and the chipboard letters were inked in white and the chipboard word`snow` was heat embossed using some hologram embossing powder, 2 or 3 times ( although this doesn`t show up in the photo). Then I punched some snowflakes and added some gems in the middle. Anyway I haven`t got around to doing anymore cards yet, so I might managed some more for the scouts to show you.

SOME MORE QUICK CARDS

Good monday morning everyone and hope you`re keeping warm and dry on this nasty cold and wet day. I haven`t got around to doing any challenges yet, but have made a few more really quick cards for the cubs, this morning.
I was hoping to start on my scrapbooking sometime this week, as I had promised myself to do this, this year, just waiting for a few photos to arrive and then can start this.

Quick Cards

Good afternoon all. It`s a tiny bit warmer here and at least it`s stopped raining, so this morning I thought I would sit down and make some quick cards. These are the ones that I made this morning with a mixture of kits( that have been in my draw since the year dot), stash swaps and other bits of stash, that I just can`t bear to throw out.
I`ve decided to donate these and any others that I make to the cub scouts that both my boys are members of. So they can sell them on, when they do their fairs and jumble sales. The group are a very busy bunch and aswell as raising money for themselves, they manage somehow to raise funds for other charities aswell. I managed to get to the craft shop in the next town and brought a mega pack of cards and envelopes, to get me started, so hoping this will keep me busy for a little while.
Hugs for now Val. xxx

DT call for Sophisticats

Afternoon all, just putting a topper up and not a card as I thought I would have a go at entering for a DT call over at allissa-designs. Not sure if i`m good enough to join a DT, but thought i`d give it a whirl as I love a challenge and have enough time on my hands.
Anyway why not pop over and see for yourself. Take care, hugs Val xxx

Sugar Nellie Bloom and Grow Card.

Good morning all and hope you`re keeping warm on this chilly morning.
Just wanted to show the card, I managed to finish of yesterday, using my sugar nellie stamp. I`d already coloured in the image with my promarkers, but I think my mojo was fading as I just couldn`t think how to use this on my card. So I did a bit of blog hopping and came across Debby`s blog over at A Scrap Journey(hope she doesn`t mind me mentioning her) and she made a beautiful card using a sketch for one of the challenges she was doing and this was what I ended up doing.
I used the beautiful cosmo cricket - early bird papers and the flowers I made myself using a wooden die I have and added buttons.
That`s it for now, catch you all later. Hugs Val xxx

Catch you all later. Hugs Val xxx

Sugar Nellie Dreamy Stamp

Good morning everyone and hope you had a great weekend. As usual we were kept busy with kids clubs etc, etc, so I never get much time for crafting. I`ve also started planting my seeds for my veg patch, so will update my other blog with that, hopefully today or tomorrow sometime.
Well I received one of my new stamps last week and have only just been able to play with this one. I`ve been itching to use them, but just haven`t got around to. This is not going towards any challenges, so will be looking up some more challenges, hopefully this week.
I used the new Sugar Nellie `Dreamy` girl, Papers from BG ` Sugar Rush`, Flowers from stash and also used my MS boarder punch. Hope you have a great day and catch you all later Val xxx

Well good morning everyone. I`ve been having a play around with some stamped images I had tucked away and came up with this card for you today. I coloured the image with my promarkers and layered inside some nesties. Layered paper across the bottom half of the card, with a punched boarder. Then added some paper flowers with some gemstones and also stitched around the edges. I think I will enter the card into the totallygorjuss challenge.

MOJO AND A SPOONFULL OF SUGAR CHALLENGE CARD

Well good afternoon, it`s been a few days since I posted a card, but have been busy with allsorts and I am now also getting into my planting. Anyway, i`ve been needing to do a challenge for a while and so thought I would enter this card for the mojo monday and also for thea spoonfull of sugar challenge. I`ve used a greeting farm image and coloured him with promarkers, which i`ve just had to order some more(naughty me). Used K&Co- hopscotch papers, then stitched around the mats and popped the image onto pads, so he pops out.
Hope you are all fine and catch you later, hugs Val xxx

Card for Andrew.

Good afternoon everyone and hope you are keeping safe and warm. This is the card that I made for a 15 year old boy called Andrew, that his mum has asked people to make and send get well cards/wishes to help him in his recovery after his op. To read more about this remarkable boy go to julyebs.blogspot .

I was trying to find an image that I thought would suit a 15 year old lad and came across a great digital image from doodle dragon studio, coloured using my promarkers and used Dovecraft masculine papers. I didn`t add a sentiment, as I thought the image said it all, but will put something inside the card for him.

Catch you all later. Hugs Val xxx

Vegetable growing.

Sorry no card this weekend, but have been scouting around for an image (for a 15 year old boy called Andrew) for a get well card. I did manage to get hold of a digital image late last night, so hopefully be doing this today.

Also by what the title says, you`ve guessed it, it`s that time of year, yet again, to think about, what fruit, veg and salad to grow. I was helping my father-in-law the last few years with his allotment and still confess, I still do not what i`m doing half the time. I just love to plant the seed and grateful really if anything grows, which i`ve been pretty lucky so far, so maybe I do have half decent `green fingers`.
We managed last year to gain our own allotment, late in the growing season. So aswell as sorting out this, cardmaking and hopefully starting up scrapbooking, I will be a busy bee indeed.
I managed to clean out the greenhouse and sort through the rubbish, that I seemed to have accumulated(i`m such a big magpie), so now ready to plant my seeds in the next few days. I hope. Catch you all later, hugs Val. xxx

Card for 3 challenges

Good afternoon all and hope you are all fine and dandy?.
This is just a quick post really as I am so behind with everything and have been kept busy all week. This card has been on my table for a couple of days now, begging me to finish it off. Everytime I tried to, something else popped up and so I was determined to do this today.
The stamp and sentiment came with my packet from Sirstampalot and when I saw it I thought to myself, i`ve got to have it, it did make me chuckle. The papers are from Daisy Bucket- picket fence, K & Co-Hopscotch and the flowers are diecuts with buttons added. I coloured the chicken with my promarkers and layered him, so he pops out and used my nesties for him to sit on.
I`m going to put this into 2 not 3 challenges(as my title suggests).

Designed 2 delight card.

Sorry this is the second post of the day.
Just wanted to show you the card I made from the free digi stamp I received from Faith at
I entered last weeks challenge and all who entered, received this weeks digistamp free. The same goes for next week too, so if you have missed out on your freebie this week, why not pop over to Faiths blog at
designed 2 delight for more details.
Anyway this is what i`ve created with the freebie this week.
I`ve layered the 2 dogs, so they pop out, added some papers from BG sugar rush, punched 2 heart boarders using my MS heart punch and added some flowers from my stash. Stitched around the matts for a bit more dimension.
Anyway Mr Postie has just arrived with a packet of goodies for me, ready to do my brothers birthday card, I hope.
Catch you all later.
Hugs Val xxx

Cupcake craft challenge card.

Good morning all and hope you are all well.
I`m entering this card into the cupcake craft challenges today. I know, I know christmas is over, but I`m on a mission to do at least one christmas card a week, so there`s no rushing around at the end of the year. I`m not too sure if I am happy with how this one turned out, it looks wrong somehow to me. I`ve used a BIG stamp from personal impressions that I cut the image out from and the papers are from Dovecraft victorian christmas. I think I might be slowly losing my mojo on this one, but never mind.
Hugs Val xxx

Monday, 18 January 2010

Good evening all!. Sorry no new card for today, as i`ve been alittle busy with sorting things out ready for my seeds. Although i`ve sorted out a few bits already, looks like this will keep me busy for some time. I`ve ordered a few bits from SirStampAlot, so hopefully will have a play with my new bits in a couple of days. Catch you all later Hugs Val xxx

A Spoonful of Sugar and CupCake Craft Challenge card

Good afternoon all! Today I wanted to show you a card I made for 2 challenges cup cake craft challenges - challenge #73 going girly and a spoonfull of sugar challenge - recipe: 3 pieces of designer paper, 1 piece of ribbon, 3 flowers,3 buttons.
I used Dovecraft glamour prints for the papers, used chalk ink on the large circle as I thought the solid pink was too much of a block colour and coloured Tilda with watercolours. I am trying out the water pencils that I got from the charity shop and still think I need a bit more practise. I added the flowers, buttons and ribbon, that was from my stash and used glitter mist for the first time, covering the whole card. Although the camera doesn`t pick up the glitter.
Anyway catch you all later, Val xxx

Charisma cardz and paperplay challenges

Good morning everyone! What a busy morning i`ve had, I am sooo behind with everything this morning I just don`t know where the time goes.

Today I wanted to show you a card I made secretly late last night, while hubby and the boys were fast asleep. As it`s a card for valentines day for the best hubby I could ask for. Poor fella, he does put up alot from me, with all my crafting and I love him to bits. I managed to get down the town early yesterday and popped into the local craft shop and guess what they had a mahooosive sale on. Now to be honest I like to shop online as there isn`t alot of choice in crafting goodies down the town, but they had a sale on for the nestabilities and MS punches. Of course, because santa couldn`t bring me these at christmas (I must have been a baaad girl) I thought an oppotunity was here to be had. What a shame the sale finishes tomorrow, but never mind.
SoI`m going to enter this into paperplay challenges Week 2 Furry friends and also charisma cardz for anything new.
The card was made using BG sugar rush papers, Kraftin Kimmie stamp Lucy & Rickie, Sizzlits die scribbles#7, new MS lace hearts punch and new nestibilities.
I stitched around the edge of the card and around the layered `love` paper(although this isn`t very clear). I coloured the image with my promarkers and used water colour pink for the back ground. I layered the two skunks, so hopefully they pop out and then added flowers from my stash.
Sorry a bit of a long post.
Hope you`re all keeping warm and cosy.

Christmas Blog Challenge Card Wk 33

Good morning everyone!
Well what a morning it is today down here in the south. Alot of drizzle today, so by the time I got back from the school run and walking the bow wow, I was a little soaked. So now he`s curled up by the fireplace with a pleading look on his face, for me to light the fire.
Anyway, back to showing you the card I made for the winter wonderland christmas blog challenge, this was the sketch that we had to follow and for a limited number of weeks you don`t have to stick with making christmas themed card, but after last year I think I will stick with the christmas theme. I kept it as it was, but you can flip/rotate it if you want.
I love this image and decided to layer it up, so the snowman, cat, and bird pops out and coloured using my promarkers. Unfortunatly I am limited to my promarker colours as I have 30, but it`s alot of fun trying to figure out my shading and colouring. I was messing about with alittle set of brand new pencils and water brush that I aquired at the local charity shop for a bargin £2.00, so had a little play with those last night and although there was only 6 pencils in the set I enjoyed using these, so maybe I need to expand my collection of colouring tools to include pencils aswell. What do ya think?
Well of to organise and tidy my little crafting corner, otherwise I can`t find anything.
Papers: Dovecraft winter wonderland
Image: Gillian Roberts-snowman
Snowflakes: sizzlets die and woodware punch(1in)
Gems and ribons: my own stash.

2 challenges-sas project tuesday and designed 2 delight.

Good morning everyone!
The snow`s almost thawed out, so hopefully no more slipping about.
Today I want to show you not a card but a box made of one sheet of card. I`m going to fill this with either chocolates, coffee/hot choc sachets as a little gift for my mum.
This is going towards the sas project tuesday. challenge, create a one sheet box and all the instructions are included in the challenge, so why not pop over and have a go.
I am also putting this towards the challenge blog delightful inspirations at designed 2 delight digishop. The first challenge has already past, but if you purchase this weeks challenge digi stamp and forward your creation, you will receive next weeks digi stamp free (check out the blog for more details). Also a bonus image is free if you can be referred by a friend.
I used: dark brown card for the box.
Ribbon and flower from my stash.

A 3 Challenge Card.

Good afternoon everyone and the snow is slowly thawing out here, so I think it`s back to school for the boys tomorrow. So almost back to normal( famous last words).
We managed to get to the big supermarket for the first time today as the main roads are now clear and although it wasn`t too bad, alot of the shelves were a running a bit low, but never mind we managed to get what was needed.
Today I am putting this card in for three challenges.
1. abc-challenge. - Layering
2.charisma cardz. - colour combo pink,brown,cream,toffee
3.lexiscreations. - pastel colours.
I used my new Sugar Nellie stamp - Manga Kids for the image and Personal impressions stamp for the sentiment. The papers i`m afraid i`m not sure where these are from and the flowers, ribbon and gems are from my stash. I`ve also managed to sew some stitching around the edges of the mats and inked around the edges too.
Hope you are staying safe and warm and catch you all later.

A big thankyou and sketch and stash challenge.

First of all A BIG THANKYOU to all you lovely ladies out there in blogland who helped me out, by answering my question yesterday about linking on the comment boxes.

What a fantastic community we have here, so I just want to say

THANK YOU.

Also I want to show the card I made for a little boys birthday on sunday(he will be 8).

I paperpieced a a lilypad instead of using a flower, so I hope this is o.k with the team.

I`m going to put this in for the sketch and stash challenge.

I stamped the frog image with an old stamp I hadn`t used for some time and coloured, using my promarkers.

The papers are from my new pad of K&Co- Hopscotch and i`m loving these, as the papers are all perfect for boys cards.

The sentiment is computer generated.

Stitched around some of the matting with my machine.

Hope you are all keeping safe and warm with the snow and ice we have all been having and catchyou all later. Hugs Val xxx

Please help with links

I know this is the second post for today, but just a quick one, if anybody can help me out there in blogland. Something very simple, but I can`t seem to get the hand of linking my cards to challenges in the comment boxes if there is no Mr Linky. I`ve used the code that some people put on their blogs, but when I put it in the comments box all the code comes up and there`s no link. I know it`s something very simple, but just can`t get the hand of it. Hugs Val xxx

Not A Stamp In Sight

No more snow at the mo, although we were due some last night and my car was feeling very unwell, but now it`s sorted, thanks to the nice man in the garage.
Good thing about having to stay in yesterday, I was able to sort through and arrange my papers. I don`t know about any of you, but I am such a hoarder when it comes to the smallest bit of scrap and my draw and box that I keep my scrap bits was overflowing. So I was very brave and decided enough was enough and got rid of some of the mountain.
Anyway instead of stamping I paperpieced this new home card for one of my brothers, who`s moving at the end of the month. Embellished with buttons and also used my ms punch.
PAPERS: mixture of k&co and unknown.
Embellishments: buttons from stash
Have a great day. Hugs Val xxx

MOJO MONDAY CHALLENGE WEEK 120

Good morning everyone and what a cold one this morning. no more snow, but now everything is iced over making walking a real pain, especially when walking the dog. At least I haven`t fallen over(touch wood), but still really bad for the old folks. I saw a few of the old dears yesterday walking along the roads as these were clear and the paths dangerous.
Anyway I thought I would share my card that I am putting forward for the mojo monday challenge. I do like doing these, because you follow a sketch which makes it alot easier for me, most of the time.
My mission today is to sort through all of my papers and put in some sort of order, if I can. I know a lot of these I have no idea where they are from as I didn`t keep a note, but hey ho such is life.
I`m not sure what papers these are from and as I don`t own any nesties yet (boo hoo!) I had to make my own by using a large punch and smaller punch for the little circles.
Anyway off to do some sorting out in a mo. Catch you all later, Val xxx

Blog Candy Winner!

Well good morning everyone and what a morning. We finally woke up to a blanket of snow this morning, typical as the kids and hubby go back to school and work this morning. So as you can imagine the boys trying to throw snowballs at me on the way to school, I had to stop them before we all got soaked especially as they hadn`t even got to school, but I did say that they can throw snowballs to their hearts content on the way back home later. Anyway, i`ve only just got back from taking the dog on his walk and the boys did a lucky dip before the school run and picked
KIM - from KIM`S CARD CORNER
as the lucky winner of my blog candy.
Congratulations!
Please email me you address at nncakes@Tiscali.co.uk A.S.A.P
and I will pop your goodies in the post for you.
